I’m conducting a state survey of Tetratomidae, the polypore fungus beetles. I love natural history museums and the stories they can tell. Each specimen is a snapshot in time, and together they all paint an ecological picture of a given area through history. I enjoy the careful work involved with maintaining collections and hope to stay involved with entomological and zoological museums in the future. I am also a scientific illustrator and am always happy to help problem-solve questions of visual rendering or representation.
Though I work with invertebrates, I also teach the Comparative Anatomy of Vertebrates lab (Zoo 430) which is one of my favorite classes, a close second to Entomology! Also, I used to paint motorcycles for a living!
