Save the Date: Graduate Student Welcome Weekend, Aug 23-25, 2024
1st and 2nd year Entomology graduate students and their advisors – the department’s DEI Committee would like to invite you to the 2nd annual department welcome weekend! Housed in a different department but advised by an Entomology faculty member? This invite is for you too!
The plan is to leave from campus the afternoon of Friday, August 23 and return Sunday, August 25. The group will camp for 2 nights at Wildcat Mountain State Park. We have 3 campsites together already booked. There will be an all-day canoe trip planned for Saturday, August 24 on the Kickapoo River.
To better gauge interest to reserve vehicles, canoes, and plan for supplies, please fill out the form sent via email or send an email to Emily Laabs.
A general list of supplies has been started. Feel free to add as you think of things. If you have something you can bring, please indicate what. The department will supply food and beverages, aside from alcohol. BYOA and any other snacks or drinks.
More communication for those attending will come the closer we get to August. For now, indicate interest and save the date!
