Zhihong Zhan
M.S. '22 - Young Lab
My name is Zhihong Zhan, and I grew up in Nanjing, China. I became interested in insects when I was around 5 years old. Becoming an entomologist was always my dream. With such enthusiasm and aim, I came to UW-Madison to complete my graduate career. UW-Madison is one of the top leaders in entomology in the USA, and I really love studying systematics and taxonomy with my mentor.
For me, studying insects is like telling an endless story. We cannot express and grasp everything with our single wisdom; however, learning and studying insects are always the best things in the world.
My interests are systematic study and species delimitation of Lucanidae in Asia, especially the population in China.
