Seven subfamilies, 22 genera and 73 species of Nitidulidae are known to occur in Wisconsin. Nitidulidae exhibit one of the most diverse feeding strategies among Coleoptera. They have been observed feeding on decaying vegetation, carrion, dung, fungi, flowers, and other insects.
