Research Interests
I am interested in a variety of topics in physiological ecology, ecosystem science, and global change biology. My interests in physiological ecology include energetics, nutritional ecology, and ecological stoichiometry. Topics in ecosystem science include factors influencing primary production, decomposition, and nutrient cycling. Interests in global change biology include the ecological impacts of human activities and measures for mitigating these impacts.
Current Projects
Ecological roles of canopy herbivores in forests under elevated carbon dioxide and ozone
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Lindroth Lab at the University of Wisconsin studying links between atmospheric chemistry, foliar chemistry, insect herbivory, and carbon and nitrogen deposition through frass and greenfall at the Aspen Free Air Carbon Enrichment (Aspen FACE) facility. See news release on our research.
